MD ABDULLAH AL MAMUN
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
MA (Thesis) in Folklore Studies (Raj, Bangladesh), MEcon (Research) in Economic Development and Policies (Kobe, Japan)

Research Interest: I am blessed in having experience in Economics and Policy with a background in Heritage, Indigenous and Folklore Studies (HIFS). I love to do research work in Climate Solutions & Sustainability; Circular Economy & Sustainable Communities; Development Geography & Planning; Economic Folkloristics & Policy issues. I am happy to step forward with the interdisciplinary mission to understand how we can build back better (BBB) traditional livelihoods and restore the community's local economy and how their heritage can be better managed and protected. Likewise, I look forward to working with circular economy objectives on how biodegradable craftsmanship can avoid pollution and help to regenerate ecosystems. I am always keen on investigating and communicating socioecological and economic problems and working with communities ethically and collaboratively for their resilience to align SDGs to promote a better tomorrow. I also love to act harder and get solutions in collaboration with folks to reduce climate change impacts to foster resilient livelihoods, good health, and well-being in local, indigenous, and folk communities along with all humankind for a sustainable future. My academic interest also explores how folklore, development and sustainability studies can bridge the gap and build the mutual relationship between humankind, heritage, economic system, and environment for the well-being of generation to generation and the caring for nature. However, I conduct research, produce documentaries, & carry out fieldwork in caring with people, for pride, of the profession, at the place & to the planet.
